Cryptographic hash (checksum) for integrity verification. Common algorithms: SHA-256 (E-ARK baseline), SHA-512 (E-ARK recommended). Ensures content has not been altered.

Requires adequate level of protection through adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses (SCCs), binding corporate rules (BCRs), or other approved mechanisms. Critical for cloud services and cross-border data processing.
